Forming: The process of plastically deforming a metal sheet by mechanical force to obtain a three-dimensional shape. Forming processes include stretching, compression, bulging, flanging, spinning and other methods, which are often used to manufacture products with complex shapes, such as car bodies, containers.
Welding: The process of locally heating a metal material to a molten state by heating or pressurizing, or a combination of both, and forming a connection after cooling. Common welding methods include arc welding, laser welding, resistance welding, etc.
Riveting: The method of connecting two or more plates or parts together using rivets. During the riveting process, the end of the rivet is beaten into a drum shape, thereby forming a tight connection in the connector.
Sheet metal assembly: This is the process of combining multiple parts and assembling them mainly using fasteners such as bolts, nuts and rivets. It is mostly used for parts that do not require welding strength or need to be disassembled later. Assembly work is also called “assembly”, covering a wide range of work and processes, from small assembly of parts to medium-sized units and final assembly of entire machines and equipment.
