OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) refers to a production partnership model for parts.
The brand provides the design and core technology, commissions the manufacturer to produce the parts according to standards, and sells the finished parts under the brand’s brand name. In this model, parts are typically customized by the original manufacturer to ensure complete performance.
Core Characteristics
Customized Manufacturing: The brand (e.g., for industrial cabinets) customizes part specifications based on the complete product performance requirements to ensure they can ultimately be used in industrial control systems.
Quality Control: High-precision machining processes are typically employed, and core components such as waterproofing and rustproofing must undergo rigorous testing and verification.
Brand Logo: The finished product directly bears the brand’s logo. For example, locks may be manufactured by the manufacturer but bear the cabinet manufacturer’s logo.
Differences from Standard OEM Manufacturing: OEM parts must meet the original manufacturer’s technical standards and are restricted to specific channels, while standard OEM parts are not subject to these restrictions.
